Speedy Claxton to miss rest of season

Speedy Claxton, who signed a four-year deal worth $25 million with the Atlanta Hawks in July 2006 and is facing microfracture surgery, will miss the rest of the season due to an injury to his left knee according to a published report..

Claxton is "contemplating his next step" and hasn't made a decision about whether or not he will have the surgery that could help extend his NBA career, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

"This is something you have to think through before doing anything one way or the other," Claxton told the paper.

Claxton has not played a game this season and only appeared in 42 games last year. He received the recommendation for microfracture surgery from noted sports surgeon Dr. Richard Steadman, according to the Journal-Constitution.

Hasn't played any this year anyway, but still could of helped them when he came back. Turns out that this deal has turned into a bust for the Hawks. This also means Law will continue to get more minutes

but I'm kinda mad that Acie hasn't been playing all the minutes he should just because AJ gets hot once and a while
