Horford gets suspended 1 game for this....but hey that usually happens when there is a hard flagrant foul.

Yeah, he never meant to hurt him I'm sure, but still, a 1 game is reasonable for that.

Well, bad news for him, good for Raptors... I didn't know he was that bad. He is going to all the specialists in the US...

Still, why is he starter for Raps?

? ?

How is it good news for the raptors?

and what do you mean why is he the starter?

Ford was/is one of the future all-star PG's in the league, plus he's the best PG they have. Much better then Calderon, and much better then the majority of starting pg's in the league.

Well, Calderon's game is very pure. Ford is not as good as Calderon is, because he takes ways too much shots without considering giving the ball. calderon gives you much more rythm in the attack, has everybody invilved, and nearly never makes a bad choice. I don't like Ford's game. He keeps the ball too much. Look at Calderon's numbers. Assist per turnover. He is better than all the PGs getting as much time on court. He is sober. If you like 5on5 ball you got to prefer Calderon. Either, if you lake And1 style, you prefer Ford. Already in my eyes, Calderon is at the level of the top top PGs in the game. He is better at creating and handling the ball than Parker for example. He knows when he has to take the shot or not, and only does it first intention when that's what his team needs more. And this is even more obvious with Spanish NT.
Look at his stats when he plays 30+ games. He is like 9 assists, under 2 TOs per game, 50% Fg, 40%3s and 90%FTs. He may not be American style of PGs, and take crazy fade aways like Ford, but, he is bringing efficiency. That's what you need.
So Ford may be a future All Star, Calderon is a future All-NBA, and top PG in the World, or he already is. Only bad thing for him, Sam Mitchell thinks like you... He is too pro American , as many people in your country.

If Calderon was better then Ford he would have started over him. Plain and Simple.

And I like Calderon he is a very good PG but there are at least 15 pg's who are better then him, Ive watched him and you say he doesnt make many mistakes....and that is wrong.

There's a difference b/t assist per TO and making the right pass, Calderon is a "safe" player but the downside to that is he doesnt "make plays" TJ Ford makes plays. Thats why Mitchell has him starting and all this "pro american" stuff needs to stop seriously. The NBA has shifted to international players a VERY long time ago...hell Nowitzki and Nash have won the last 3 MVP's have they not?

I think Calderon should be a starter. He's a good shooter(besides his rookie year). He makes great passes and sets his teammates up. He's a pass first point guard.

TJ Ford is a good player too though, he's one of the fastest in the league. Sometimes he takes bad shots, and sometimes he's a shoot first player, but besides that he's great.

Both Calderon and Ford should be starting point guards, but that can't happen.

Well, Calderon creates the movement, team movement, to me, it seems Ford looks directly for his shot or the assist, whereas Calderon not. Beside it, he gives the ball as fast as he sees an open man. 15/7/16 last night... 1TO. When more than 30 minutes, he is very very often in double double, he is making the right pass. Raptors have other players able to create or make the extra pass, which is euro play signature. Garbajosa, Parker, even Bosh tries to keep the ball moving. And it seems to me Ford freezes the ball dribbling too much.
Definitely, both can be starters, the question is not about that, it is about who should start. I prefer the Raps with Calderon than with Ford, And with Garbajosa than Moon, even if I understand what dimension brings Moon. Just, I don't understand what is the interest of starting a PG who dribble all the time, even if he is very good at it, instead of a PG who will create ball movement and off the ball movement.
About America's preference for its players... Well, it is very hard for a foreign player to get in the NBA as the guy who plays is the one who is paid the most, and as the guy who plays is the one more able to bring money.

Since we're not getting anywhere with the Calderon/Ford discussion. We can agree both are very good and both could be starters..ok?

But as for your last comment, its going to be hard for "older" European players to enter the league, many teams dont want to spend big money on talent that wont be there that long....prime example Sarunas Jasikevisius (I know I spelled it wrong). But over here they make it seem like none of the top talent wilplay in the NBA. But two guys Im looking forward to seeing are Ricky Rubio, and Nicolas Batum....and one question.....is Dajuan Wagner playing in Europe? if so how is he doing? what about Omar Cook?

According to wikipedia:

Omar Cook is playing in Serbia with KK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade).

Dajuan Wagner is playing for Polish champions Prokom Trefl Sopot.

Erm, I'm actully look now. I found a site that had the amount of points scored in the season, not the averages and things. Want the link? This is for Wagner by the way.
