Maybe they will trade it and try and get a more experienced guy.

Darren McFadden, it's got to be Darren McFadden. Even though the Fins' wouldn't be wrong in selecting DT Glenn Dorsey from LSU to help add some youth to an aging defensive line. However, I think the results of the Texans choice to pass on Bush in favor of Mario Williams a couple years ago put an end to that speculation. Drafting a quarterback wouldn't be an option either as Scott Linehan liked enough of John Beck to pass on Brady Quinn & Beck is apparently the future at the position for the team. The team desperately needs more than just a Punt Returner as their primary receiver, however drafting Adarius Bowman with the first overall pick just isn't happening.

The bottom line is that this team needs a playmaker, a "show-stopper", a player that will bring Miami plenty of attraction...the same attraction that Reggie Bush brought to New Orleans. Ronnie Brown is already in place & I know some of you will argue that with me but Brown tore up his knee bad enough that his recovery time could go well into next season. With that first pick, the Dolphins can land more than just a running back...they can land one hell of an overall athlete.

I don't think there is any question that Darren McFadden should be a Dolphin.

I don't think Houston regrets it at all, I mean look how Bush did this season....not much, and Mario has been a pretty good defensive player this year.

So you mean to tell me that Houston doesn't regret all the publicity they have missed out on since both rookies put on NFL helmets? Even with Bush having a pretty bad season, the guy is all over the place, tv, magazines, #25 jerseys bought and sold all across the country. Not to discredit Mario Williams' ability...but Reggie Bush would have been the much better "investment" for the Texans.

I don't think they do. I mean if you look at top pick RBs and top pick DEs, the RB will always get more press then the DE.

AE really summed it up, McFadden is easily the best choice for the Dolphins. Even if you have to bench him with Ronnie Brown back in action, he will be a much for reliable backup than Williams...

Darren McFadden easily. I don't see them picking a quarterback since they've got John Beck. and not many defensive players have the skills to be that high up in the draft.

Yea I agreed with that to, plus they could go to a 2 back formation, and have 2 lethal backs.

Exactly. No matter who has the pick, you do not pass up Darren McFadden...no matter who you already have in place. The Vikings already had a solid running game with Chester Taylor and a huge void at the QB position. After watching a quarter of the league pass on him, Minnesota made the smart move at taking Adrian Peterson, thus passing on Quinn. Now all eyes are on Peterson and the Vikings...who are in the playoff picture much to everyone's astonishment.

Is there any player that any of us are more anxious to see in the NFL next season than McFadden? All biases aside, I think you would all agree. Well if that's the case, there's going to be a hell of a lot of people watching some Dolphins' football next season.

I could see them trading the pick for a lower pick and talent. Options are still available. I cant tell you until I see the combines and get better analysis of the draft. Right now they should draft McFadden since hes most worthy of the Number 1 pick.

Well i'd rather see different players, players that come from teams I like....like Pat White, Steve Slaton, Ian Johnson, even though some of these guys might not even get drafted....but I'm much more anxious to see them play.

Scary thing is the Patriots just might get a shot at McFadden. A lot of Mocks have Dorsey going first.

The Patriots wouldn't select McFadden when they have a gem like Lawrence Maroney. And I don't see the Phins taking him either. I see them trying to improve their D since they already have Ronnie Brown.

Meh I could see the Patriots doing that, just to say they have "the best player in the draft."

Cause the 49ers management is a bunch of assholes.

Dolphins should get DMC, but they'll most likely pick Dorsey, just cause they are a bunch of idiots.
