New York Daily News -
Reggie Miller had tough words for the New York Knicks recently.

"Right now, they are a league-wide joke," said Miller. "It's sad because they are an historic and iconic franchise. But people think they are late night comedy jokes."

Miller, the legendary former Indiana Pacers ' guard and renowned Knicks' villain, will call Thursday's Knicks-Celtics game for TNT. His broadcasting partners include Hall of Fame announcer Marv Albert, who was unceremoniously dumped by the Garden, and Mike Fratello, who had a handshake agreement with Isiah Thomas to coach the Knicks before Thomas decided to hire Lenny Wilkens.

Miller, of course, has a connection to Thomas. Besides playing against each other, Thomas was Miller's coach for three seasons at Indiana. Although the Pacers never advanced past the first round under Thomas, Indiana did reach the playoffs all three years under him.

Miller believes that considering the state of the Eastern Conference and the Knicks' talent base, Thomas should be able to get his team to crack the top eight.

"All I know is that Isiah has the talent to make them a playoff-caliber team," Miller said Tuesday over the telephone. "With the talent New York has, they should easily be in the top six. Only Orlando and Boston are running away with the conference. New York is not out of it. All they need is a four- or five-game winning streak, and they've already won two of them."
Ha, I don't know, I had a little chuckle. But if you think about it he's right.

Yea he is right, they are just messed up right now, management and everything.

I still think Thomas needs to go, along with a couple other guys.

They really just need to ship out Marbury, and get rid of Isiah. They need to just completly revamp that team. Nothing seems to work at all.

Plus the whole Randolph on Curry off thing. Maybe 1 should come off the bench.

Well him or Curry, they just don't work well together. And they could get good pieces for either one.

HONESTLY.

What person in their right mind would listen to REGGIE MILLER'S opinion about the KNICKS.

Regardless of what many of you think, the only problem is with Dolan, Thomas, and Marbury. We havent been getting blown out, we keep it close ALL game, of course Curry and Randolph havent molded ITS ONLY BEEN 13 GAMES! two dominant post players take a little longer then that to mesh.

Revamping the team wont do any good, we need to get rid of those three and work it from there.

and $tunna, you always seem to have something to say about the Knicks, first your smart @ss post in GiantMetFan's article now this, like I said before, UNLESS you have something MEANINGFUL to post, dont post at all, nobody cares if you like the knicks or not.

No they are a good, young team. That's the problem, they are too young, and will need some more time to get together and create more chemistry. They have the talent, they just gotta put it together.

I agree with Dez, they are a good team, they have the talent and a solid line-up with good young guys coming off the bench. And their office and coach are just messin them up.
