ESPN -
Anderson Varejao's frustration with his contract status has finally come to a head.

Saying he is waiting for Cleveland General Manager Danny Ferry to "show me that he values my contribution to the team," Varejao said in an exclusive phone interview with ESPN.com this weekend from his home in Vitoria. "I just want to be treated fairly, and I don't think Danny's done that."

Varejao expected to be helping the Cavs defend their East crown by now.

"I wanted to come back," he said. "I love the fans, and I really love my teammates. But there are others there that have made it very difficult. It's gotten to the point that I don't want to play there anymore. I'm just hoping for a sign-and-trade at this point."

Ferry isn't ready to give up on bringing Varejao back.

"We fully understand that negotiations can be emotional," Ferry told ESPN.com. "As for Anderson's potential to remain a Cavalier and put this behind us, we value his presence in this organization on and off the court, and that has not changed."

Bad thing is Dumars has been looking for a big man to get, and this looks almost picture perfect to trade Nazr or whatever he wants. Then I'll be forced to like Varajao. Come on Joey D, don't even think about it.

I would do this but not for the money he wants hell no not for the money he wants.

But then again I don't know who we would trade for as much as I want Nazr traded I wouldn't trade him for a hustle player we have Maxiell we would need another Center.

But I mean someone will take him but he seriously needs to get his facts straight he is NOT WORTH what he is asking for.

This might sound weird, but I think the Mavs need to the pull the trigger and get this guy. o_O, brings energy off the bench, can even start if someone gets hurt.

 Noooo. Then he would probably take some of Bass's minutes, and that can't happen.

No, I was thinking of a trade of sending possibly Stack away. So then it becomes

PG: Devin Harris/ JJ Barea
SG: Trenton Hassall / Jason Terry
SF: Josh Howard / Brandon Bass
PF: Dirk Nowitzki / Anderson Varejo
C: Diop / DAmpier

Stackhouse possibly, maybe a younger player like Ager or Fazekas

Ah true, they do need to play Barea much more, that guy does good in the little minutes he gets. But I think they could trade Stack and get Varejo plus maybe a young guy like Simmons or Nichols or something.

I mean I like Stack, but he just is not the same. Fumbles the ball to much, way to streaky of a shooter, not athletic at all. Doesn't bring much. Shooting under 40% from the field this year and averaging 9.0 PPG.

Yea if they traded Ager that would reunite him with Shannon then maybe the 2 of them would get more minutes.

Heat not interesetd in Varejao

Miami Heat coach Pat Riley said the team isn't looking into a potential trade for Cleveland Cavaliers restricted free agent and holdout forward Anderson Varejao.

Varejao's agent, Dan Fegan, reportedly has asked Cleveland to work out a sign-and-trade deal.

''We know what's going on out there,'' Riley said Tuesday. ``I'm sure there's frustration on the part of both people. But we haven't had any conversations about that.''
