The NBA and the Phoenix Suns will hold a press conference on Thursday where they are expected to announce that the city will host the 2009 All-Star game.

Phoenix last hosted the event in 1995, when Mitch Richmond won the MVP after the West defeated the East by a final score of 139-112.
Like when is the AS game going to be held somewhere in the east. The last time the AS game that was in the east was in 2003.
