New York Post -
According to the New York Post, the Blazers tried moving Channing Frye to Chicago for Tyrus Thomas, but the Bulls are so enthusiastic about Thomas that the discussions were over before they began.

Portland lobbied the Knicks hard for David Lee as partial payment in the Zach Randolph trade and it was either accept Frye or get stuck with Randolph's $61M, four-year tab.

that would be an even trade in some ways, but geez, Frye just joined the Blazers.
plus Tyrus Thomas has great potential, even more than Frye I think.

Yea I can see why the Bulls didn't do it, but I think they should still try to get him, maybe trade Joe Smith. Frye is pretty good, and would help out a bunch.

I wouldn't be surprised if Joey D tries to do something.

As long as they can get rid of some contracts in the process if they do decide to pursue Frye, then I see it happening cuz thats all PHX wants to do.

Frye is a good player and he will probably be an all-star one day, but dont get it wrong guys he isnt a defensive presence or a post presence he's the US version of a European big man. Soft and has a sweet mid-range jumper, I hope he ends up somewhere that will give him PT .....

Tyrus Thomas is gonna be great someday. He was good in the play-offs last year.

But the Suns still have Sean Marks, he's pretty big (I think) and he's played very well in the preseason.

I think Frye is quite younger than Marks...
But I may be wrong.

No I think your right. Marks I think has been around a while, but he still has a nice jump shot.

There are a lot of teams that could really use him...like Chicago.

Yup...

But that would be bad for the Pistons cuz that would just make them that much better even quicker.

Also I think there is a rule on newly aquired players that they can't be traded for a certain amount of time.
