Let's break it down...

1. Kobe Bryant - Pretty much hated everywhere outside of Los Angeles...
2. Tim Duncan - I'm not even sure how he made this list. He's just boring...
3. Kevin Durant - Could have gone far, but he's a rookie, so I guess that hurt...
5. Eddy Curry - Not sure how he even got in this... Not a very popular player...
6. Jason Richardson - People must still be riding the GS bandwagon for him to get in...
7. Carlos Boozer - Jazz playoff push got him in, but not to many people are probably Boozer fans...
8. Paul Pierce - I don't see a lot of Boston Celtics/Pierce fans roaming around SI...

With that said, Jason Kidd is playing for the Olympic team and has been around for awhile, I think that's what got him into the Final Four. It's not like anybody else in this region, with the exception of Kobe, could have won anyway.
