Forwards:

Colby Armstrong: C+ (Provided the Leafs with some offence and plenty of grit, however he had trouble staying in the line up which made him less of an impact player)

Darryl Boyce: C+ (Worked very hard on the third line, and finished with a very good +/- of +10)

Tyler Bozak: C+ (He had high expectations heading into the season, but did not meet them. He finished with the worst +/- on the team, however his play picked up during the second half of the season, and played well on the penalty kill)

Tim Brent: B- (Like Boyce, he worked hard, and played very well on the penalty kill. He will be best remembered for his 5 on 3 penalty kill against the Hurricanes in which Reimer got his first career shutout)

Mike Brown: B- (Provided toughness and grit nightly, as well as great work ethic on the fourth line)

Joey Crabb: C- (He didn’t play bad overall, but did not play well enough to deserve a spot on the team next year)

Mikhail Grabovski: A- (Surprised many people, including myself. He proved a lot, and produced very well on the Grabovski-Kulemin-MacArthur line)

Nazem Kadri: B- (During his first call up stint, there were many questions surrounding him. During his second stint, his play dramatically improved, making Leafs fans hope he can continue to develop)

Phil Kessel: A- (Once again Kessel was a thirty goal scorer. He scored as many goals as Ovechkin, and also improved his playmaking abilities. The negative of his season was that he tended to go through long droughts. With a legit number one centre, he could easily be a forty goal scorer)

Nikolai Kulemin: A (Another player who made massive improvement from last season. He was the Leafs second thirty goal scorer, and worked hard at both ends of the ice)

Joffrey Lupul: B (Played well along side of Bozak and Kessel, especially since he missed two month. Twenty goals should be expected out of him next year)

Clarke MacArthur: A- (MacArthur came out of nowhere to finish second on the team in scoring. Hopefully he wasn’t a one hit wonder though)

Colton Orr: D (He is the fighter the Leafs need, but unfortunately missed a good chunk of the season due to injury)

Fredrik Sjostrom: D (Provided very little offensively and defensively to the Leafs season, especially for a former first roundpick)

Defensemen:

Keith Aulie: B (Played big minutes with Dion Phaneuf, and made the most of them by playing very well)

Carl Gunnarsson: C+ (Played well offensively after being in and out of the lineup)

Mike Komisarek: F (Has a big contract and plays low minutes. He should be one of Burke’s number one priorities to dump this offseason)

Brett Lebda: F- (Lebda was absolutely horrible this season, providing very little with just one goal)

Dion Phaneuf: B- (Had a rough start to the season, but looked like he returned to his old self in the second half)

Luke Schenn: A- (After going through the dreaded sophomore slump, he proved that he is the Leafs number one defensemen, by leading the league in defensemen hits)

Goalies:

Jean-Sebastian Giguere: C- (He didn’t play bad, but he didn’t play too well either. If he returns next year, he would be best suited for a mentor role)

Jonas Gustavsson: F (Gustavsson had heart problems which hurt him, but when he was in the lineup, he did not perform up to expectations)

James Reimer: A (A major surprise for the Leafs, he came out of nowhere and nearly led the Leafs to the playoffs. He had been up the whole year, it is possibly he could have been a Calder Trophy Nominee)

James Reimer is damn interesting. He burst onto the scene, I look forward to seeing more from him personally.
