Young Monroe volunteers to mentor younger Drummond

Greg Monroe has volunteered to help mentor Andre Drummond despite being just 22.

"He's going to need help from us, from the coaching staff, from the front office," Monroe said. "So I think, personally, obviously, I was in a similar position, and he's going to need my help a whole lot. So I have to take the responsibility and just try to mentor him and help him any way I can."

Monroe has exhibited great maturity during his NBA career, even during his rookie season in which the Pistons were in turmoil with former coach John Kuester.

should help him mentally and should help him learn the game but im hoping he just naturally learns most of the game himself. just develop the killer instinct. ben wallace could help him a lot with that too.

yea and when we were talking about how shitty tay is a few days back, you, cerron, and myself. tayshaun wasnt the captain last year, ben wallace was. just goes to show how much tay doesnt want to help the team. hes just here to collect his check at this point.
