So Darren Dreger reported that the Leafs received a reasonable offer for Phil Kessel. Personally I will be beyond pissed if he is traded, and I doubt we get back what we trade for him.

You already did sorta (re: Kaberle)

If by some grace of god you manage to unload Komisarek's contract with Kessel, as well as getting a reasonable piece back, you'd benefit from the long run.

That's true. Would leave more cap space, but I kind of want to see a duo Brad and Kessel happen still; hopefully.

All we got to do for Kessel is get him a first line centre, and he would explode offensively. He is already a thirty goal scorer without one. If we can't sign Richards, we need to seriously look at Brooks Laich.

Brooks Laich won't make Kessel explode offensively

Yeah. Laich is an average playmaker at best, and I don't see him as a first line type of guy. I don't know. Not saying he would be a bad pickup though. He'd be a great asset for us.

I wouldn't mind if Kessel got traded.
If we could get rid of Komisarek's contract like WBG mentioned, then I wouldn't mind either. As long as it's all for the best; I'm not totally crazy over Kessel anyway, but he's a great goal scorer so it's definitely got to benefit us greatly if we're trading him.

Why would the Leafs trade Kessel? I can't see that happening.

Because he's one dimensional and if Burke can get as much (or maybe even more) as he gave up for Kessel, he should give it a lot of thought.

If they could get some youth out of it ( Like what TML traded for Kessel) I would so do it.
