Will Rags Buyout Richards After Season?

Less than two years after his monster deal and his play is so bad that the Rangers are keeping him out of uniform, in what is the most important game of their season. 
 
Those who don't think they'll compliance-buy him out this Summer need to think again.  
 
At 33, he's already past his prime and now to the point where he's not even in the lineup during the playoffs.  The Rags need the cap space for their handful of younger RFA's and c'mon, Brassard is the best centreman in New York.

I actually did a project on free agents and how their stats always drop after signing via UFA. Richards was one of the players used.

Unless Richards does something heroic on some immaculate series turnaround....and then a Cup.........he's done.
 
I bet he's back in Tampa by next season.  Always been a fan of his but not for that price tag.

What a waste. I wouldn't be surprised if the buy him out. Hell yeah. Sad to see that was a complete waste. Power play QB? Yeah sure... Tampa bay sign him for their 3rd line? Haha
