A friend of mine thinks in couple years, as Derozan gets better he might decide to leave Toronto for a better team. I think he'll stay and build a team. What do you guys think? Have you ever thought about this before?
from my site: ***********.com

We said the same thing about Chris Bosh and he decided to leave the Raptors and bring his talents to south beach since he couldn't win shit in Toronto and Canada isn't the best place to be when you're an NBA star! We said the same thing about Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady as well. I think there is a 50/50 chance. We all know he's going to develop into a star and will be our number 1 option as soon as he proves he could do it. The problem is that nobody knows if hes' going to stay loyal to us. Unfortunately, all our stars decided to leave to better teams and that's what made us fail in playoffs and in several other seasons. But I could tell you one thing:

If DeMar DeRozan stays loyal to the Raptors and we manage to hold on to Ed Davis, our team has a really good future and will eventually make some noise in the future!

Why will he leave? Because Vince did and he was a good player?

The Raptors shipped out Bosh, and they knew it would set their plans back a few years. It's going to take some time but I think he is loyal enough to stay with the Raptors through the growing pains.

I think all stars want to play with a team like LA or Miami.. who cares about Toronto honestly?

He's a good player, but not a superstar, and I doubt he will ever be in the 'big star' category. I would venture to say he hits the star level of Rudy Gay so I could easily see him staying in Toronto. Not saying he'd leave if he was a superstar, but most of these stars now a days just want to go to high markets and attractive cities.
