Who do you guys think will go #1 to the Detroit Lions?

I'd have to say Andre Smith and Matt Stafford would be the likely candidates.

i think it'll be matt stafford with sam bradford staying back another year
although if we do go with andre smith
i would love to pick up mark sanchez with that 19th pick
if he's still around

Yeah, this is going to be a tough pick for Detroit IMO.

Stafford could be good but he isn't really a "safe" pick.
Andre Smith is a safe pick and he and Goddy can progress together.

I'm torn haha.

Andre Smith. The quarterbacks available aren't good enough to be #1 picks.

o.0

Lions - trade #19 or your extra 2nd round pick, and get one of the following: Derek Anderson, Matt Cassell, etc.

If they do that - Smith.

Otherwise; take Matt Stafford - he's certainly worthy of #1.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I think they should go the Rams, and find out just how bad they want Smith (REALLY bad is the answer) they could move down a pick, and pick up more picks, and still get Stafford, or whoever else (not Smith obviously) Hell, then they could find out just how bad the Chiefs want a QB (not likely i know, just saying lol)

Also, no one is a "safe" pick. EVER.

sanchez has the better accuracy and consistency. I go with Sanchez.

The dumbasses saying Sanchez are the same people who probably have Tim Tebow as the #1 next year >_>

Who cares my Seahawks are gonna get Michael Crabtree...I wanted DeSean badly last year cuz we needed a big play WR, but Crabtree is like another Fitzgerald and omg I love Fitzgerald so I LOVE Crabtree!!!!

[sarcasm]Detroit should draft Crabtree.[/sarcasm]

Though Crabtree-Johnson would be an unstopable combo. With a real QB lol.

im confident Sanchez will be top 5, def. top 10.
I do like his chances at 1.

My point is - Mark Sanchez won't go close to 1st.
your point is you make a stupid assumption, lol.

I like Sanchez and I think he has the ability to be a top 5 pick, and has a good shot at #1. Gee, the experts seem to agree with me right now too.

By the time Sanchez career is over he will be 3rd round talent.
