http://thesmokingcuban.com/2014/05/06/free-agent-mavericks-keep/The Dallas Mavericks will look to improve their roster this season and will have to make plenty of tough decisions.
Dirk Nowitzki, Vince Carter, Shawn Marion, DeJuan Blair, Devin Harris, and Bernard James are all set to hit free agency. All but James were key to this seasons team.
Nowitzki is a no brainer to return. So the decision will come down to who should be retained and who walks.
Marion, 36, the only piece besides Nowitzki that was part of the 2011 champion team. Hes been the starting small forward for the last five seasons.
The 37-year-old Carter has spent three seasons with the team. Hes taken over the sixth man role the last two seasons after sharing it with Jason Terry for one.
Harriss reunion with the Mavericks didnt go as planned due to him missing half the season. At 31, Harris still has plenty of quickness to be a suitable combo guard off the bench.
Blair has been in and out of the rotation all season. He made his biggest mark of the season during the first round of the playoffs. At only 25, Blair is the young pup of the bunch.
At 29 and struggling to crack the rotation his first two seasons in the league. James may be the least likely to return of the bunch.
