What is Wrong with Brook Lopez's Rebounding?

At 7'0", Brook Lopez has only averaged 7.6 RPG through his first three seasons in the NBA, and for the New Jersey Nets, it's obviously not enough. When you're that tall, you have to be able to haul in a good 9-10 RPG, at least in my opinion. What's up with Brook's rebounding? Is it just a lack of effort? Or is he really uncapable of doing better?

Thoughts?

When it comes to rebounding its about hustle and positioning imo. Just look at Moses Malone, the greatest offensive rebounder in the history of the NBA. Moses was fearless and was very tenacious on the glass, I just dont see that fire in Lopez. Moses was also 6'10, so height shouldnt be an issue for Brook.

I just think rebounding is an instinctive skill.
I mean, you got Jason Maxiell who is like 6-6 maybe and is just a good rebounder. Same with like Dejuan Blair.

Brook throughout his life played with Robin, who would steal rebounds from him. So Brook is just not a good rebounder because of it.

Plus he has Humphries playing next to him, who grabs the bulk of the rebounds.

Rebounding is about being physical, being focused, and just wanting the board more than anyone else. Geometry is also very important.

He isn't an awful rebounder. But what he put up last year being a 7 footer is no excuse at all. IDC who was stealing rebounds. If rebounds are being stolen, you obviously aren't as instinctively good at rebounding.
