For the first time in several years, I actually have confidence in the Cowboys when they play against good teams, and against Arizona, I feel like they have a chance to make yet another statement against a tough NFC West foe. I do no trust Arizona's offense in the slightest, and after Jackson/Garcon/Reed, Fitzgerald/Floyd/Brown look pretty damn tame. Tony Romo will play through severe pain, because that's what he does, and he'll have his best game of the season, with Dez Bryant torching Patrick Peterson for 2 scores, Terrence Williams catching a deep ball TD, and one more for rushing touchdown for DeMarco Murray. Carson Palmer's lack of turnovers is going to unravel in this game, with the Cardinals playing their first true bad game of the season. I acknowledge that I could be completely wrong. I firmly believe that 9 out of 10 matchups between these two teams would be slobberknockers, but Arizona is due for a turnover-ridden loss.
This is another tough pick where I just have a feeling. Nick Foles is really struggling this season and the Texans have the kind of defense that should capitalize on his poor play. I think Clowney makes his mark on this game in the first half, followed up by a nasty second half from JJ Watt. Of course, the Texans have an even worse QB than Foles, so I expect their offense to do just enough all day to get in position for a game winning field goal from the much improved Randy Bullock. Expect two scores from DeAndre Hopkins and a rushing TD for Arian Foster. It'll be good times in Houston, again. Jeremy Maclin continues his Comeback Player of the Year season (if he doesn't get that award, it's a fucking travesty) with 2 scores and a 3rd from Brent Celek, who will make his only appearance of the season in this game.
