There's something about this Denver team that is significantly more tolerable than last year's squad--they have a great defense, and therefore they're not just a high scoring team that may or may not show up on the other side of the ball. Seeing Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware paired up (and Ware seeming to stay healthy) has been a treat for football fans and I'd by lying if I wasn't somewhat pulling for Ware to win a title, even though I despised last year's Broncos team. At the same time, my sheer hatred of #18 continues to burn within me like fire with an endless trickle of gasoline to keep it burning. At the end of the day, it makes me happy to see Ware on a successful team and I hope that the Broncos at least keep the Patriots from returning to the Super Bowl. This week's game is rather intriguing, as it's a Thursday night matchup after both squads played later Sunday games, with Denver playing that night. I guess I just feel like the Broncos are better suited to succeed without a thorough game plan.

The Chiefs have come too far after a bad start to fall to the still lowly Rams. I think their offense goes off in Arrowhead, and while Austin Davis is still capable of leading the Rams to plenty of points, the Chiefs defense is just good enough to hold him in check early on, forcing St. Louis to play catch up, which will lead to turnovers and short fields for Alex Smith. I expect Travis Kelce to have one hell of a game, catching two red zone touchdowns. Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis will account for the other two touchdowns. Austin Davis will have another game with a ton of passing yards, but a couple of picks will be the difference and the reason the Rams will not be able to catapult to more wins after beating the Seahawks.

The Cleveland Browns are the most bipolar franchise in the league this year, and it has a lot to do with spreading the ball between too many running backs. Just give Tate or West the majority of the carries and let Crowell be the change of pace back. There's no way they'll sit Tate out of those 3, so just run him into the ground because he'll get injured whether they do it or not. I expect Brian Hoyer to rebound from last week's terrible effort and get the Browns on the board early. Derek Carr with have a nice game, finding Andre Holmes for a touchdown and he'll complete some key passes on a drive that ends in a Darren McFadden touchdown. It simply won't be enough to win in Cleveland, though.
