Watt named DPOY

J.J. Watt has been named the first unanimous AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Watt collected all 50 votes from the media panel.

"It's special," he said. "It's a testament to my coaches and teammates and everything they did throughout the year. There are so many people who helped make this possible."

 

Watt had 20½ sacks, 78 tackles -- 29 for losses -- 50 quarterback hits, four forced fumbles and 10 blocked passes.

So Dungy voted Watt for DPOY, but Wagner for MVP? How does that make any sense?

He's one of those people that convinced himself there's a difference between being the best at what you do and being "valuable".
