Saturday night, NBA fans got a modest bit of action as the Golden State Warriors players hosted a charity game featuring current Warriors and past Warriors. The game took place at the San Jose State Event Center and benefited Matt Barnes' Athletes Vs. Cancer Foundation. The current Warriors defeated the past Warriors 158-153 in a game that was much like the All Star Game. A lot of highlight reel shots but a bit short on defense. Not exactly a classic bit of film for new head coach Mark Jackson.
Dorell Wright led all scorers with 41 points, while Stephen Curry was likely the MVP of the game with a triple double including 34 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. The "We Believe" squad actually consisted of a variety of ex-Warriors ranging from Jason Richardson and Matt Barnes to Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison. Baron Davis even made a cameo at the Event Center after halftime, although he did not play.

Jason Richardson might have gotten the biggest pop of the evening when the free agent said he was always open to returning to Oakland if he can get into a winning situation. It will be interesting to see if the Warriors pursue JRich whenever basketball gets going again.
