San Francisco Chronicle -
Don Nelson likes what he has seen from guard Marco Belinelli and big men Brandan Wright, Stephane Lasme and Kosta Perovic, but not all are ready for the NBA.

Which is why coach Jim Harrick of the Bakersfield Jam, the Warriors' NBA Development League affiliate, will be at practice on Monday, getting his first look at some new charges for the coming season.

Golden State, which became the first team to send a lottery pick to the minors when Patrick O'Bryant went down a year ago, plans to send at least two of its rookies to Bakersfield this season.

This will help them develop faster, but I think Bellinelli is pretty much ready. The only downside to this is that they will take playing time from Brandon Bowman, Gerry McNamara, and Kevin Pinkney.

Wright, Lasme, and Perovic will all be sent. Lasme and Perovic for sure. Belinelli won't though. Whoever wrote this article is incorrect. Don Nelson even said: "Belinelli is not even a rookie. Hes a 5 year pro ready to help our team." And Don Nelson even said he designed plays just for Marco, theres no way they'd send Marco down. The 3 other rookies will be sent though. POB was sent last year and he came back this year looking really good. He no longer has the name of Patrick O'Bust. Hopefully this works out.

I'm not sure why more teams don't do this. Unless you have a rookie thats ready to contribute (most aren't, a select few are), why don't the teams send their not ready rookies to the DL? Why have your future star benched when they can be playing games in the D-League getting better. More teams should do this IMO. ;)

I think Prince needs to bulk up a little though, if he did he would be a lot better, just less quick.

Yea he does.(both Wright and Tay)
But he could also condition a little more with like weighted vests etc. to be quicker.

Tay has a better jump shot. Brandan does too, but not as good a range as Tay. At first, I didn't think Wright could shoot jumpers, but hes got pretty decent midrange game. He needs to add at least 20 pounds though. I'll give him 3 years. If he does not become as expected, I don't know what I will do.

Do you even know who they are or follow any of their games??? Gerry McNamara set tons of new records at Syracuse, and can still hit the outside shot, he also led the Orange to some huge comeback wins in the Big east tourney. Brandon Bowman was probably the best scorer on Georgetown while he was there, and Pinkney tore it up last year in the D-League, he also got called up to play for Boston and had like 15 points in his NBA debut.

you said they sucked. That proves you as wrong. We aren't talking about in the NBA in the NBA 2 out of 3 of them have never played an NBA game. As for Pinkney he did good in the little time he was in the NBA, but he didn't get much PT. And as for in the D-League Pinkney is probably the best player in the Bakersfield Jam.
