The Vikings will likely stay status quo at quarterback next season. Tarvaris Jackson is still the favorite for the job, but coach Ray Childress said the Vikings will examine other candidates that could be available through free agency and trades. Drafting a replacement for Jackson does not appear to be a viable choice because that would send the team back to square one.
