ESPN's Ed Werder just said on Sportscenter Live that reports are now in that the Vikings have "temporarily" suspended pursuit of future HOF QB Brett Favre.

According to Werder, Favre failed to show up to team-mandated drills that began today, that BRad Childress was expecting Favre to attend if he was interested in joining the team.

I'm still searching for an article, should have something soon.

"Temporarily suspended" their pursuit? WTF does that mean?

Believe me, if Favre called next week & said he's ready...he's wearing purple & handing off to Adrian Peterson in no time.

To me, this doesn`t change anything. Just because he didn`t show up to team-mandated drills, doesn`t mean he is going to try and make a comeback. Belive me, i`m like Bob Ryan. I`ve been "Favred Out for 3 Years" but, this isn`t really a certainty of anything.

I just don't get how an end of the week deadline to decide turns into...he didn't show up today, we're done with him. We mean "temporarily" done with him.

Yeah. That doesn`t make sense. Than it will be, "oh, he`s going to play. We meant a month deadline." It`s like they want to give a deadline, but dont want to close the option of him playing for them.
