Vikings Considered Firing Childress Over Waiving Moss

ESPN - Randy Moss did not appear on waivers for 24 hours because Vikings owner Zygi Wilf was furious about being circumvented by coach Brad Childress.

Wilf was so upset that he considering keeping Moss and firing Childress, according to a team source.

Childress put his job in jeopardy because he didn't follow franchise protocol and talk to Wilf before deciding to place Moss on waivers.

They should of fired him. Not sure why they didn't. If he did this with Moss, what makes you think he wont do it with someone else? Vikings could start losing players because Childress does things with out consulting Wilf. I found it funny when Childress said "we thought it was in the teams best interest" and all I could think was If the owner is mad at you about it, i'm thinking it wasn't a "we" decision, and more of a "me" decision.

He'll be gone at the end of the season. Organization just doesn't want to pay anyone else for the rest of the year. Not like they're going anywhere anyways. And Childress is god awful. He's been blaming the fault of the team on his own superstar players? That might be so...but you're the head coach..you're job is to make sure they don't do that. He has too large of an ego for some guy who has done nothing in this league

If this happens, best case scenario for the Vikings. I have utmost respect for Frazier.
