The Michael Vick era in Atlanta is officially over.
Of course today was inevitable but now that today has finally come, Atlanta can officially move forward minus the mobile quarterback attached to their franchise. At the same time, Michael Vick can move on and find himself a new suitor once his legal troubles finally calm.
"Michael remains suspended by the NFL," Falcons' GM Thomas Dimitroff said. "However, in the event NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decides to reinstate Michael, we feel his best opportunity to re-engage his football career would be at another club."
Commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to re-instate Michael Vick and will most likely not do so until Vick's bankruptcy case is resolved and the paroled quarterback seeks re-in statement. -AE
