We overpaid but whatever. He is going to be the starter once Shaq leaves, and we had to lock him up. But we sure did set the standard for big man. Good luck signing Odom back LA.The Cavaliers and forward Anderson Varejao have come to terms on a new contract.
The deal is for six years and $50 million, Varejao's agent, Dan Fegan, told the Plain Dealer.
"Andy wants to stay in Cleveland," Fegan said. "He feels there is unfinished business -- to win an NBA Championship."
Varejao had interest from several teams, including the Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder and other potential sign-and-trade offers as well. But he and the Cavs were able to work through a deal over the last week to keep him with the Cavs, where he has been for his whole career.
