I know I know I'm a Bears fan, but IMO Urlacher is playing arguably the best football of his career which means at if not better than his '06 season.

112 Tackles - 13th (On pace for about 140)
3.5 Sacks - 2nd Most among top 15 Tacklers
10 Pass Deflections - 2nd most among top 15 Tacklers
1 INT - 2 is the most among the Top 15 Tacklers
2 FF - Again #2 among Top 15 Tacklers
3 FR - Tied for most among Top 15 Tacklers

Not to mention you see the immense improvement that He and Peppers have made (Yes I will say Peppers has made just as much of an impact as Urlacher). But this defense was atrocious last season and its clear that his leadership and knowledge to run not only the Cover 2 but any other coverage/blitz package they choose to run to a T has made this a top 5 unit once again.

Do you guys think he has a legitimate shot at winning DPOY? If not who is your choice?

I can see a good case for Urlacher. The numbers are definitely there and it's without a doubt, Chicago's defense is 10x better when he's healthy. I dunno...haven't really thought about it but right now, there's no 1 defensive player that stands out in my mind as the favorite to win the awards. I've got a handful of names but no favorite...unless I'm forgetting somebody.

Cameron Wake or Clay Matthews will probably get it because of their sack numbers. Was the same reason why Woodson it over Revis last season. Because he had the INTs and some sacks while Revis still had 6 INTs but no one would throw at him.
