Tyreke Evans told Derek Page of HoopsWorld.com that he does not know whether he will remain with the Sacramento Kings beyond this season. However, he also said that his uncertain future is not affecting his play this season:

“I don’t know yet,” Evans told HOOPSWORLD of his future with the Kings. “It’s still early. I’m just going to keep playing and see what happens from there. I got the Sacramento Kings, and the fans have been great to me since I’ve been here, so let’s see what happens.”

Evans, the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and the 2010 Rookie of the Year, was perhaps the most high-profile player of the 2009 draft class not to receive a contract extension before the October 31 deadline. He has largely failed to live up to the promise of his outstanding rookie campaign, leaving his value in question and opening up speculation that he could be traded.

He's definitely fallen off since his rookie season; thought he'd be something big. It'll be interesting to see what happens to him. Maybe something similar to what happened to OJ Mayo when he fell off lol.

He hasn't blown up into the player people thought he would be after his rookie year, but the guy is still a really good player.  The Kings would be stupid to let one of their few bright spots get away.

Chad Ford hit the nail on the head with Reke in his draft grades

I thought the Kings ultimately would do the right thing and take Rubio, but instead they take Evans. He's not a point guard. But he's a physical combo guard who knows how to get to the rim. He can't shoot much and isn't super athletic, but he's big and strong and he'll make an impact right away. This was a short-term pick. It will look good early, but I wonder how it will look in five years.

I think a change of scenery would do him solid.
