Tyreke Evans signs with Roma

Tyreke Evans has signed with Virtus Roma on a deal that will last through the end of the lockout.

Evans played 57 games in 10-11 due to plantar fasciitis.

Roma had been starting Anthony Maestranzi at point guard. Luigi Datome, Clay Tucker, Vladimir Dasic and Uros Slokar also start for Roma.

Roma has a 3-4 record in Italian Lega A, mos recently losing to Dinamo Basket Sassari.

Datome leads Roma in scoring at 17.0 points per game, while Tucker and Dasic also average double-figures.

There's no way that we're actually getting close to a deal considering Lamar Odom and Tyreke Evans have both signed on to foreign leagues in the past 24 hours.

They get out of their contracts as soon as the NBA starts back up so I don't think it matters. It's just a back up plan. But I don't think the lockout will end soon anyway.

Yeah but if they felt they were making progress, especially since the rumors are about the NBA coming together in the next few days, why even waste your time officially signing with these teams?
