Turiaf Chooses To Sign With Heat

Ronny Turiaf has decided to sign with the Heat and the sides are in the process of finalizing an agreement, according to sources.

Turiaf was waived by Denver following a three-team trade.

“We’re working hard to get it finished up,” Turiaf’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, told Yahoo! Sports.

So he's a backup for Joel Anthony?

Ronny Turiaf negotiated a player option for 12-13 in his contract with the Heat.

Turiaf said he chose the Heat because they are a title contender and he would also be closer to his family in Martinique.

The player option, according to a source, is worth $1.2 million.
