New York Post - Giants defensive end Justin Tuck doesn't believe that prospect Can Newton will be a viable NFL quarterback.

"Would I take him at No. 1? Absolutely not," Tuck said.

Tuck added that he's a fan of Newton, but he questions the quarterback's ability to handle the NFL's physicality.

"In this league, the athletic quarterbacks don't last long," Tuck said.

"It's the quarterbacks [like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees] that can sit in the pocket and take a picture of whatever defense we're in and know in 0.3 seconds that a hot slant is going to be open," Tuck said, "or in two seconds, with this pump fake, that safety's going to step up ... It's those guys that [teams] are looking for, and I don't think Cam is that player yet. If he comes into the league doing what he did in college, he won't be in this league for very long."

You guys are getting completely sidetracked by the actual topic at hand. Tuck said that the way Newton plays will not translate into the NFL which is completely true. Vick is the exception, not the rule. There are always players like Vick, but very few. When I think of an NFL QB, I take intelligence over athleticism all day. I think thats what Tuck is trying to say here.
