Earlier this season, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu missed four games with an MCL injury, and on Sunday, he re-injured the same knee. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Polamalu underwent an MRI following the game on Sunday, and that he's expected to miss a few weeks, if not the rest of the season.
Appearing on SportsCenter on Monday morning, NFL Insider Adam Schefter noted that the injury was not quite as severe as the first one. On the other hand, he did remind everyone that the Steelers "are not the same defense without Polamalu." Understatement of the week there.
