Troy Murphy requests trade from Nets, given leave from team
Troy Murphy — and his $12 million expiring contract — will not be part of a Carmelo Anthony trade, it appears.

But he will be part of some trade.

He has requested a trade from the Nets and was told to stay at home away from the team until GM Billy King can arraign that, according to a tweet from Al Iannazzone of the Bergen Record.

This is not that uncommon a scenario and will not impact the Nets, Murphy has played only in two of the team’s last 10 games and sparingly in those. The Nets had planned to move him. The question of what for now will be the interesting part.

I would like to get him, but they already said he isn't coming here. He doesn't want to play here, anyways.

Before he got to the Nets, he was getting playing time, and doing alright...too bad for him.

Things just keep going downhill for the Nets. One second their about to meet with a Superstar they've been trying to trade for, next thing people are realizing all hope is lost and trying to get the hell out of there.

The Nets are like the not-so-hot girl at the bar. She dresses up as perfect as ever, but people only talk to her just to get to the hot friend; that hot friend being the Knicks.

Murphy was NEVER going to stay here past the deadline. He's a 12 million dollar expiring player, that's all he ever was to us. He NEVER played any meaningful minutes for us at ANY point during the year.

The post above this one, is a perfect example of lunacy and buffoonery.

ooh bringing out the big words.

I don't get what you're trying to prove. I basically said the same shit as you. Are you just trying to prove something? or win a battle you can never win? About 99.9% of your posts are "lunacy and buffoonery".

And as DJT said, before he came to the Nets he was a decent player. Looks like Jersey just beat the shit out of him.
