Troy Brown announced his retirement this morning.
SourceOne of the Patriot's best player Troy Brown announced Thursday morning his retirement, putting an end to his 15-year career in the NFL.
Brown, 37, announced his retirement at a press conference at the Gillette Stadium and is expected to work in the media, reports the Boston Herald.
He is the Patriot's all time leading receiver. He has a record of 557 caught balls and takes the second position at yards received with 6,366 yards.
It's hard to let the game go," he said, according to the source. "It's been a part of my life since the second grade but you can't outrun Father Time no matter how much you try."
The team will honor Brown with Troy Brown Night, when the football team plays against the Jets at Gillete Stadium on Nov. 13, Patriots owner Robert Kraft revealed.
