The Saints signed this CFL defensive tackle in late January and he's more than a camp body. They signed him to a three year deal for nearly four million dollars, included in that is nearly two million in signing bonuses. Some say he may be the next Cameron Wake (who the Saints had a lot of interest in).

“New Orleans just put the best deal together,” said Ghahremani, adding that the Minnesota Vikings were the other serious contender for Johnson’s services. “They were willing to work with him, they wanted him bad. (Saints head coach) Sean Payton called me, Tom met with everybody from the head coach, the (defensive) co-ordinator, the D-line coach — they treated him like, ‘hey, look, you’re one of us. It doesn't take a three year-four million dollar deal to get someone in the CFL to the NFL, not even close. Plus, you sure as hell don't sign a camp body to a three year deal.

The Wake comments were made by people alot smarter than both of us. People that can actually scout talent.

So let me guess, because the dude was signed by the Saints.. and people said he was like Cam Wake... they're smarter than us now? Or can Scout Talent.

If the Jaguars signed this guy, and I said exactly what you've been saying.. I would get the typical "Bash Kam, hes a fucking homer, blah blah blah" shit..

For now, hes a camp body until he can win a spot on the final 53. I don't care if you've been signed to a 10 year deal, isn't anything guaranteed. Don't put all your balls into one bucket.
