"Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams is getting his wish. A day after going public with his desire to land Peyton Manning, league sources said Monday the team is expecting, and preparing for, a visit from the free-agent quarterback in the next day or two. The Titans entered the Manning picture Sunday when Adams told The Tennessean that he is ready to do whatever it takes to sign the four-time MVP, who recently was released by the Indianapolis Colts.

"He is the man I want. Period," Adams said. "And the people that work for me understand that. They know who I want. I want Mr. Manning with the Titans and I will be disappointed if it doesn't happen.""

another solid option. Good weather, close to home (i think. idk, my geography sucks) excellent RB behind him and a good duo of targets.

Also good to note that Wayne and Manning are a package basically. So essentially Peyton could go to a team without a great #1 target as long as they do bring in Wayne as well.

"To the extent that Peyton Manning is looking to parlay a contract for his services as a player into a contract for his services as an executive, it's working.

Titans owner Bud Adams told KHOU radio in Houston on Wednesday that he has offered Peyton a contract "for life."

Adams also said he "feels great" about the team's chances of landing Manning.

As previously mentioned, the idea of welcoming Peyton into the front office upon retirement could make for more than a little awkwardness, given that the jobs and the duties Peyton may be eyeballing already are spoken for. (Including giving the opposition a double-barreled middle finger during games.)"
