Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez(notes) got to take a breather Thursday, watching his teammates clean up on the New York Mets, 11-3. The word from the Chicago Sun-Times is that Ramirez needed the break to rest a tight left hamstring.
''It's harder when you get older. It happens to everybody,'' Ramirez, 33, said, according to the Sun-Times, ''especially playing a lot of day games, and it doesn't help when it's cold and raining and 30 degrees every day.''
Ramirez is hitting .290 with only one homer.
