The Boston Celtics announced today that the club has requested waivers on center Esteban Batista. The training camp roster now stands at 16.

Batista signed as a free agent on September 26, 2007. The 6’10”, 268-pound center appeared in one preseason game, totaling seven points and five rebounds in 19 minutes.


What was the point in siging him?...
