Texans cut Andre Johnson

Dianna Marie Russini reports that the Texans will be releasing long-time WR Andre Johnson on Monday.

Russini adds that Johnson apparently didnt have any trade partners, which is why hes being released.
Reports surfaced a few weeks ago that Johnson was either going to be released or traded, but it was unlikely that any team was going to give up a lot in return for a player thats likely to be cut in the coming weeks.

For what its worth, a recent report said that the Colts and Johnson have mutual interest.
