The NBA's biggest awards will be handed out in the coming weeks, but before he headed to Seattle, Terrence Williams was honored with the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month award for April. Williams averaged 14.3 points (leading all East rookies), 7.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists in seven games this month, after putting up similar numbers in March. He not only recorded his first career triple-double against the Bulls last week, but he averaged a triple-double in the final three home games.
Seven different Nets have won Rookie of the Month honors, with Brook Lopez having won it twice last season.
He is almost as good as Tyreke Evans and I wouldn't be surprised to see him pass Kidd's triple double mark when his promising career is done.WILLIAMS
April 3 vs. New Orleans: Registered 14 points, four rebounds and a career-high 14 assists in a 115-87 win over the Hornets.
April 9 vs. Chicago: Recorded his first ever triple-double with 27 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a 127-116 victory over the Bulls.
April 12 vs. Charlotte: Notched 21 points, six assists and a career-high 13 rebounds in a 105-95 loss to the Bobcats.
