Point guard Sebastian Telfair (sprained ankle) made it clear, in the wake of a story in the New York media suggesting otherwise, that he hopes to return to the Wolves next season. Telfair, who will be a restricted free agent, said: "[The Wolves] gave me an opportunity of a lifetime. This is where I want to be."
Telfair 'happy where I'm at': Wolves point guard Sebastian Telfair said a report over the weekend that he would relish an opportunity to play for the New York Knicks next season was taken out of context. Telfair, who will be a restricted free agent, is hoping to remain with the Wolves.

"I'm happy where I'm at," he said. "Minnesota gave me an opportunity of a lifetime. This is where I want to be."

Telfair is averaging 9.3 points and a career-high 5.9 assists.

Same here. I think he still has a chance to become the Isiah Thomas he's suppose to be. He still has another 11 years to go. Maybe 14.

I don't know about Isiah.

I hope he develops into the player we thought he was going to be. And if he wants to be a Allstar player then he should stay OUT of NY. He's better off in a lower market franchise.

I wish him the best, and can't wait for him to show us that he isn't a bust.

he definetlyb isnt a bust. he just needed some time to get used to the league. He will be a future all star guard imo.

Most young players like HS kids blossom 3 years down the road. The PG position comes down to maturity. Bassy was way too immature his last 3 years in the league. Hes alot more mature and willing to do anything to live that dream that Jamel couldnt.

BTW speaking of a HOF career Steve Nash's forth year was just as spetacular:
27.4 MIN
8.6 PTS
4.9 AST
2.2 REBS
.7 STLS
1.8 TO

BASSY:
32.1 MIN
9.3 PTS
5.9 AST
2.0 REBS
.98 STLS
2.3 TO
