T-Wolves Trade for Payne

The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to send Adreian Payne to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 2017 lottery protected first round pick.
The pick is lottery protected from 2017 until 2020.
The Hawks create cap room and a roster spot with the move, which could be used for Ray Allen or Gary Neal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

That's an interesting point Dez. If they wanted to bring in Ray Allen, they would've needed to clear a roster space and this does just that.
