ESPN.com - Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh defended his quarterback's actions and his team's style of play two days after a loss to the Bears in a physical game that featured a fight in the fourth quarter.

Things got out of hand early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game after Matthew Stafford threw his third interception of the game.

Chicago's Tim Jennings picked him off and got shoved hard out of bounds by Nate Burleson. While that unfolded, Stafford grabbed D.J. Moore by the helmet and threw him to the ground, setting off a confrontation involving players from both teams that ultimately led to Moore's ejection.

Moore immediately hopped up and plowed Stafford -- then sitting on the ground -- back into the turf, sparking the skirmish and the corner's ejection.

Suh said the altercation between the teams occurred because Moore went after Stafford and that the Lions quarterback "had to protect himself."

"That's a no-no on our team," he said. "You don't go after our quarterback."

The altercation started because Stafford ripped down the corner back by his helmet/facemask because he was pissed he was completing more passes to defenders then his team...

WTF does this mean? Stafford had to protect himself from what? D.J. Moore blocking him on an interception return? Pretty sure that's a legal part of football, blocking... You don't rip someone down by the face mask because they are blocking. LOL
