Stuckey: "Bad Boys Defense will be back"

Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey says the team is going to pick up their defense this season, according to Flint Journal.

"Things are gonna be the same offensively with stuff like that, but I'll tell you one thing, our defense and defensive standpoint, things are going to be a lot different," Stuckey said. "We're gonna be picking up full court, trying to get back to our old ways of playing Bad Boys defense. That's something to look forward to this coming year."

Stuckey averaged 7.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in his rookie campaign.

There we go. He is exactly right. Flip didn't focus on our defense enough, so it's good to see Curry is going to make us back to a defensive first team. I'm starting to get really excited for the season.

Defense might be better, but no way it matches the Bad Boys. The Bad Boys were amazing. Plus they had Dennis Rodman who is probably my favorite non-Mav of all-time

We will be FAR from the bad boys, I just think Stuck means we will be almost all defense.

Yeah, I don't think Stuckey means we will be as good as the original Bad Boys defense, just that we will be a lot more defensive minded this year.

As for what Stuckey said, I hope they do step up their defense this year. I know they can play better defensively.. I think Curry just needs to motivate them a little bit, because I seen them get sloppy on defense last year at times. Even in the playoffs they got beat by 20 against Philly and 25 against Orlando. Those are teams that weren't nearly elite teams.
