Steelers Nearing Extension With Farrior

KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh reports that the Steelers and ILB James Farrior are closing in on a contract extension.
Farrior, 33, is in the last year of his contract. The Steelers have a policy against negotiating new deals during the season and are trying to get this done before Week 1. An announcement could come as soon as Thursday.

He may not be the hardnosed Pro Bowl MLB that he used to be, but he's still a huge part of our defense and we need to keep him beyond this season.
