Spurs are playing amazing basketball right now. Tony Parker has stepped up a lot and is being their MVP so far along with Tim Duncan even though he's been playing less minutes to prevent injuries.

Even though the Spurs have old veterans like Parker Duncan and Ginobili, they're still at the first seed and set team record with an 18-3 start.

Do you think the Spurs will end the season as the first in the West? Explain your opinion.

Lakers are still cream of the crop until beaten.
Mavs are better than the Spurs, better depth, and they've already beat the Spurs IN San Antonio.
Jazz and Spurs are a tossup for 3rd best in west I think

"The Lakers are so much better than the rest of the West that it's not even funny."

The Spurs are old and I feel that it will start to take its toll at the end of the year. The spurs are also known for coasting at the end of the year because they really dont care about home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

Agreed. It's Lakers, Mavs, and then the Spurs right now.

Almost everyone is talking about the Spurs these days. I don't know why no one is talking about the Mavs they look more worrisome to me. Nowtizki's still playing at a high level, they're on an 11-game win streak, and they're the ones responsible for busting some of the NBA's big win streaks including the Spurs and the once undefeated Hornets.

Mavs are playing great. Dirk is the leader in my opinion in the MVP race but you can`t underestimate the Spurs guys. They`re still first in the West even if you want to deny it...

I'm obviously not happy about that since I never liked the Spurs but they're still first with an 18-3 start and they're looking really good. Lakers might catch up later though hopefully :)

Alright so you guys don't think Spurs will end up first? Consistency will keep them Numba 1 in West believe me.

Spurs won't finish #1. I just don't see it happening. I wouldn't mind if it did, just saying.

I think the Lakers, Mavs, and potentially the Jazz are all better teams.

Nothing but calm and collected over here.

Unlike a lot of teams when you're used to winning you know how to handle it, and waive off crow eaters.

Just found a lot of the statements funny.

I saw their record yesterday, and I was surprised. I mean, I knew they we're winning a lot, but I didn't realize it was that good. I haven't heard much about them. It's like they've done it quietly.

As for finishing 1st in the West, they have a shot at it. I say the Lakers will be 1st and the Spurs getting 2nd.
