Did not see that one coming. Defiantly makes the Spurs a bit more scarier scoring wise. But they lost a lot of defense and don't really have any downlow help with Duncan now.

This isn't a good trade for the Spurs, they are totally going away from what made them so successful. They need to totally rebuild now.

Bowen will probably be let go out of his deal and sign back with the Spurs.

Yeah this one of those CAP moves, and i wouldnt be surprised if Bowen is released.

But I think this move is a good one for the Spurs, they do lack help for TD but if their still interested in the Prizntias guy then its not that big a problem

Well I think this year marked the end of the Spur era, with that set roster. This is a good trade to get them in the right direction I suppose.

I was thinking the same thing, he could be the bait used to bring in TD's sidekick downlow

Or they could opt to reopen the discussion they had with Washington for the 5th pick...

Yea.. I dont know why some of you are saying they're going a different direction. I think this deal shows they are still trying to win titles.

They'd still have to resign Gooden though, I think he's a FA

had to find a computer for this one.
wow.

for now though the spurs have no bigs other than an old duncan and matt bonner.

they also have no one to guard kobe. but cheato is right, they'll probably get bowen back.
they're not done yet, they still need some bigs which i know they will get

Yea if you compare starting their starting 5 they have 3 advantages over the lakers.

TP is better than Fish
Kobe is better than Manu
RJ is better than Ariza
Gasol is better than Gooden
Duncan <Censored>s on Bynum

This is an excellent move... They realized that what they had wasn't enough anymore, so they got a borderline all star talent... How is this a bad move at all?

Duncan doesnt <Censored> on Bynum

Bynum outplayed him and played him to a draw this season. dont just go by history. remember, Duncan is older and slower. Bynum seriously gave him problems this season

They need a big though, and they really don't have anything left to offer.
