The Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors have engaged in exploratory trade discussions on a potential deal centered around Carlos Boozer and Andrea Bargnani, according to sources.
If talks proceed to a more serious level, smaller contracts will need to be added to the deal to make the salary cap aspect work.
Still, both the Bulls and Raptors have given consideration to the move, sources said.
For the Raptors, the question is whether the organization can afford having both Rudy Gay and Boozer on the payroll moving forward.
The Bulls have long been assumed to be leaning toward using their amnesty clause on Boozer at season's end.

Not wanting Boozer's contract at all lol. He could help us talent wise but will ruin our flexibility cap wise.

I have the same opinion ... but anyhow Bargnani has to be traded ASAP

I'd rather have Bargnani based off of money reasons but I agree if it's beneficial to our future (like a nice expiring or young big man). It's exciting to see BC trying to win now but I feel like he's rushing things with this one.

I think there is something to be said for bigs that can pull guys out from the paint and space the floor and hit threes. But I don't think Bargnani does that. Hasn't shot a decent percentage from three in like three years. He's a pretty bad player. Supposed to make a name for himself offensively but he's not a good offensive player. He actually isn't that bad of a defender, but his rebounding is laughable.

He can score just not as efficiently sometimes and thats why he sucks besides the fact he can't get his rebounds.

Why the hell do the bulls want Bargnani?

I think they want another 3 point option or something like that lol. Rose would probably make him look better too.

I also think they probably feel like Noah and their system in general could help. Noah is just an animal defensively.

I was reading comments from both Raptors and Bulls fans earlier. Both sides hate this deal.

Raptors fans would consider it if the Bulls threw in the Charlotte pick, and Bulls fans would consider it if the Raptors threw in Derozan or Ross... lol

Honestly, Toronto is probably the poorest ran organization in the NBA.

Boozer is significantly better than Bargnani, and I do agree Ross would need to go as well

If the Raps cared about having bad contracts they wouldn't have traded for Rudy Gay. Boozer is a good player, and would probably be better in Toronto too

The contract really hurts his value though and this is where I don't believe we need to be giving up Ross. There's no question we have money since we're under Rogers too lol
