NFL.com - Bill Cowher is unlikely to join the Dolphins, according to a source close to the former Steelers coach.

While looking at potential openings, Miami represented the only opportunity that made sense for Cowher, but that sense has diminished.

Miami is believed to be close to parting ways with Tony Sparano, but general manger Jeff Ireland is expected to be retained.

I don't think Bill Cowher is going to be coaching next year. No longer an option with the Giants and Texans, and now I guess Miami. Looks like Cowher will be staying with CBS for another year.
