The Detroit Free Press confirms that the Lions are unlikely to pursue Nnamdi Asomugha in free agency.
The Lions are building a team the right way -- forming their core with their own draft picks (Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Ndamukong Suh). Breaking the bank and their salary structure to go after Asomugha would make little sense, even though they are desperate for corner help. "Our philosophy is not to field a competitive team just for next week -- it's for the entire season and the long haul," said team president Tom Lewand.
Rips hopes and dreams are now crushed. Who would of thought the Lions wouldn't sign EVERY Free Agent? And we were the ones to not get excited about a Free Agent because the "Lions will sign em"

Who the hell wanted Nnamdi on the Lions? He really doesn't fit their system, and he costs A LOT!

Every fan of every single team wanted him on their team at one point or another. But it's just reality that he wouldn't go to the Lions IMO. Not possible.

..... Every Lions fan said he was gonna sign there, and take them to the playoffs, along with every other FA.

Find me a post where I said that we would sign him, and every other free agent.

Did I say it was a possibility? Yes.
Did I say I wanted it to happen? Yes.

Just cause I say it is a possibility, and that certain FA's could sign here, doesn't mean I think they will.

You are such a dumbass.

Wasn't just talking about you dumbass.
Talking about Lion fans everywhere. On every forum or everytime a Free Agent is available, Lions fans start with the "Hes coming here, no doubt".

Fact is, Nnamdi wouldn't go to Detroit. Hes getting up in age, and wanting to win a superbowl. Lions are rebuilding and won't be in a championship for a long time.

You however, WAS basically trying to tell us how he would sign with Detroit and he'd help lead yall to the playoffs. Might not of been said exactly like that ,but it was around the lines of that.

Then don't fucking speak for all the Lions fans here cause you encounter morons on other sites. Cause they aren't here.
And I was justifying the reason why I think he could sign here. Which is what anyone does when they make a statement in general. If you ask me a question I'm going to answer it.

Besides, the article says we aren't going after him. Not that he doesn't want to come here.

Rip, Your a 30 year old CB.
You just came from a horrible situation in Oakland, and is wanting to win now and wanting a championship.

Would you sign with Detroit? If you say yes to his, you're blind as fuck.

If you are willing to wait a year or two, and the money is there. I don't see why not.

Too many "What Ifs"
Might take longer than 2 years.

What if Stafford comes out, gets hurt AGAIN. Season is ruined, Jahvid Best gets hurt again. Lions lose hope in QB, release/trade Stafford.. Draft QB 1st round next year, redo rebuilding all over.
